As a student organization, HBB has a unique perspective of what it's like to navigate the world during the formative years that shape your identity. We understand the difference a foundation like ATLSO can make in an adolescents' journey; whether that be ensuring access to education or supporting the ability to thrive in one’s community. Mobility matters to HBB because every child hopes for a life without limits, and we believe ALTSO turns that dream into reality.

About ALTSO.
ALTSO provides free prosthetic limbs, orthotic braces, appropriately fitted wheelchairs, and continuous care to CoolKids ages 1 day - 25 years. We help CoolKids walk & roll in emerging countries where the need for orthopedic care - due to traffic accidents, congenital disabilities, and poverty - is tremendous, yet underserved. Mobility is the difference between a child contributing to their community or living in isolation, feeling confident or self-conscious, chasing their dreams or begging for money. Since 2003, ALTSO has served over 26,000 CoolKids. Mobility is more than movement - it’s a human right.

Hope Beyond Borders (HBB) is a UGA student organization dedicated to supporting orphaned and underserved children locally and globally. Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, we connect UGA students with meaningful opportunities in healthcare outreach, education, service, fundraising, and humanitarian support.
