Daria was diagnosed at birth with spastic tetraparesis - a neurological condition characterized by severe weakness, stiffness, and involuntary muscle spasms in all four limbs.

Daria is a cheerful child who loves watching animated shows. However, before receiving a wheelchair, she had to be carried everywhere by her mother, as she could not sit or move independently.

Leaving the house was exhausting for Daria's mother, her primary caretaker, who had to carry her. Even simple tasks at home were difficult to manage while keeping Daria safe and comfortable.

With your support, we provided Daria with her first wheelchair at our program with Motivation Romania!

Thanks to her new wheelchair, everything has changed for the better. Daria can sit securely and watch her favorite cartoons, explore more of her surroundings, and accompany her mother to local therapy sessions without physical strain. 

The wheelchair has also given Daria's mother more freedom — she can place Daria safely in the wheelchair while she organizes household tasks, something that was not possible before.

Daria's mother told us: “It helps us so much — thank you! We never imagined we would receive something like this.”
