ALTSO UK's Rocktoberfest-London will celebrate its second year alongside NYC's 16th and Chicago's 8th anniversaries. More than 2,750 professionals from the alternative investment and related financial service industries will unite in these three cities for a night of rock & roll and acoustic music to benefit ALTSO's mission and the nearly 18,000 CoolKids treated to date.
The Overgrounds is a new band of bankers who are rocking things up in London.
The band is made up of members of the same IT team in the financial industry who work in the City of London. Most of the members haven’t played in a group in years, but this hasn’t stopped them from coming together in support of the cause with some sweet sounds of thunder.
So where does the name “The Overgrounds” come from? When one of the members of the infamous Rocktoberfest bands “Six Floors Under” moved from Paris to London, the country may have changed, but not his need to continue rocking on for ALTSO. Six floors Under literally practiced in the garage on level -6 which gave them their name. The studio of the “The Overgrounds” is none other than the disaster recovery site where they work jamming at lunchtime on the ground floor, it was only natural to name the new group “The Overgrounds”. Where else would you expect to find a group of IT rockers?
The goal of this eclectic group of English, French and Ukranian colleagues is to play at fund-raising events and raise funds for charitable causes they believe in.
They are busily preparing their first line-up for ALTSO’s UK Rocktoberfest London on June 19, 2019 then at the Broadway Hard Rock Cafe in October 2019. Join the “The Overgrounds” at the London Rocktoberfest in June to raise awareness for this great cause and raise funds!
