Tak always seemed to be so happy-go-lucky. His attitude was so infectious it immediately put everyone around him at ease. He was indeed a very special soul.

At the early age of five, Tak lost his leg after being struck by a truck while playing in front of his home in Kampong Speu, Cambodia.

Tak’s mother, father and five siblings all live in a small wooden structure on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, where there is heavy commercial traffic. His father is a farmer who raises pigs and his mother runs a small grocery stand in front of their home for additional income.
