Volunteers

ALTSO has need for volunteers year round. We offer volunteer and internship opportunities in the following areas:

• Office volunteers: Year round. In the office, volunteers help cover routine office tasks, do research, design print materials, write copy, edit photographs, produce videos, and market our organization
• Summer internships: May to August. In the summer we host select college and high school interns who seek experience in the non-profit world. We also participate in New York city’s Student Youth Employment Program.
• Event volunteers: October. The success of our events is enhanced through the efforts of our dedicated and reliable cohort of volunteers. Our annual banner event Hedge Fund Rocktoberfest offers volunteering opportunities both on the day of the event as well as in the months prior
• International Volunteers: If you are over 18 and would like to volunteer overseas in one of our projects, please contact our office
• Other: Anytime. If you wish to aid our efforts by hosting an event in your school, work, or community, please contact us for ideas and materials

2008/2009 Volunteers

ALTSO thanks the office volunteers who assisted with administrative duties in 2008: HyoLim Go, Rishara Maharaj, Essence Perry, and Christina Rozario, as well as the individuals who offered us their services pro-bono in web and graphic design: Kristina Angell and Xuelan Hou.
