In his first eight years, Sowedo suffered from congenital clubfoot, facing a lifetime of pain and immobility. Due to his family's economic condition in Uganda they were unable to provide treatment.
ALTSO's partner, Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU), identified this young boy to receive the Ponseti method of clubfoot correction, which was provided by ALTSO.
Sowedo is now and is able to walk to school pain-free and enjoys running with his classmates in the schoolyard.
