Kiran - Rajasthan, India

In 2008 Kiran and his mother were taking a walk to the nearby market when an automobile collided into another, striking Kiran in his lower leg and crushing his fragile bones. He was immediately rushed into surgery, and underwent an amputation to save his life.

Now, Kiran at the age of four has been referred to the ALTSO clinic in Ahmedabad, India for his second prosthetic fitting and is undergoing rehabilitation nearby at the Paraplegia Hospital.

Kiran is walking extremely well adjusting to the new fit. His mother and he continue to enjoy their time at the market gathering daily produce for their family of four.
