ALTSO IN COLOMBIA
Fundacion Casa de Colombia
In Colombia, ALTSO partners with the Silver Service Children's Foundation and Fundacion Casa de Colombia, a non-profit organization that has worked on behalf of the country's disadvantaged children, especially those  of the Cauca Valley, since 1982. Its mission is to provide aid for economically deprived children to cover their basic health, education and nutritional needs. Fundacion Casa de Colombia was founded with seed contributions from employees of the Carvajal Corporation, and receives support from the Carvajal Foundation as well as from individual members of the Carvajal family.
Fundacion Casa de Colombia works in 90 schools in Cali and surrounding suburbs providing 360 children with yearly school supplies and social services. Forty children in a school of 700 receive breakfast and lunch through the foundation, along with their school supplies, tuition, and the services of a social welfare professional who works very closely with their families.
